Chapter focuses on drought and health
“Extreme Weather and Society,” published by Springer, includes a chapter dedicated to drought and its effects on health. Written by Mike Hayes, former National Drought Mitigation Center director, and Nicole Wall, NDMC outreach and research specialist, the chapter talks about drought and health in the context of public engagement. The chapter can be purchased independently of the book.
The fourth National Climate Assessment's Northern Great Plains Regional Engagement Workshop is set for Feb. 22 to gather information from stakeholders about climate impacts affecting their regions. Stakeholders can attend one of four satellite sites or remotely.
